Cherry Blossom Heights (and less than savoury neighbours)
I've started to work on my 6mm city board again, thought I'd show you what I've got so far to keep myself motivated.( I've actually posted most of this on various forums but never all in one place)
It's meant mostly for solo, story driven skirmish games.
Everything is magnetised so I can easily pick it up and put it aside and maybe continue the game later. The buildings are from Brigade models and the shanties are from Angel Barracks exellent Junker buildings range.
The buildings on the left are from Ral Partha Europe the rest was scratch build.
The farm with watertower and the first field, the crops are magnetised and can be removed individually, they still need some finishing touches;
Some more shots of Cherry blossom heights.
I've since finished some more Angel Barracks Stone Haven buildings for the shanty town and some scratchbuild more industrial pieces but I havn't had time to take any pictures of them yet.
The next addition will be a more of an uptown, financial district.
You know the place where the big bucks are.
I made a quick test piece, tell me what you think, will it work with the rest of the city, anything you feel I would need to add.......
Its made of Mega Blocks (knockoff Duplo), spray painted with black electrical tape for the windows and a piece of sandpaper for the greenroof.
Just to show you what you can make for a little less than 8 euro's worth of Mega Blocks
Now I just have to cut off the round nubs on top, sand them down a little, glue and spray paint them and then I can start adding greeblies....
.....Why do I keep doing this to myself
BTW. does anybody know where I can get some printable billboards or signage? I'd love to add some to my city but my graphic skills on a computer = 0 ops:

The Star of Verbena maiden voyage.
Well here she is finished,
I decided to add a top hatch and a solar panel at the last moment and when I feel up to it sometime I think I'll add some "Star of Verbena" nose art but for now she's good.
As usual comments and critiques are welcome and if you've got a scratch build of your own you're proud of, please leave a link in the comments below, we'd like to see em.

The Star of Verbena
So I was watching Firefly again and I decided my little mans needed their own propper spaceship.
In 5 Parsecs you roll on a table to see what kind of spaceship you get, I got a retired scoutship, refitted as small trading vessel, called "The Star of Verbena"

More pictures when I slap some paint on her.

Spaceport update.
Here's some pictures of the setup for my first game of Five Parsecs ftom Home.
I'm still working on some other scatter terrain but I felt the board was filled enough to start to play on it.
I'll start with a pic of the "whole" 9*9 inch board
A few close-ups

Motivational Image dump,a glimpse of things to come.
Ok, so I've been a bit busy with a lot of real life boring stuff these last few months and now that I've finally got a bit more spare time I find I'm having trouble getting started again.
So, in an attempt to get myself motivated, I've decided to do a bit of an image dump of the things I did manage to get done and share some of the plans I have for them with you all.
Some power armor by Brigade Models

Some power armor by Brigade Models
and GZG
I got these to use with a space station terrain piece I plan on building. The idea is that they will be fighting in micro gravity on the hull of the space station.
A bunch of figures for use with the awesome Five Parsecs From Home skirmish rules by Nordic Weasel Games ( check them out here ) Expect a Batrep/mini review of the game soon.
Angel Barracks Junkers
GZG Islamic federation
Various figures from Steel Crown Productions
and some more Steel Crown figs (the 2 big'uns on the right) and Dark Realm Kraytonians
Last but by no means least various figures from the exellent Solar Empire Marines line from CinC.
I've also started to make some scatter terrain for my space port terrain, once I feel I have enough for a nine tile setup I'll be using them to dig into 5 Parsecs.
Well that's it for now, stay tuned, more to follow soon , I hope ;-)
