Micromunda Wasn't Built In A Day...

...but the first stage is done anyway😎

I thought I'd share some more pictures with you so you can see/guess at, the materials before I blackbomb the lot.

First up the initial set of buildings and walkways

I also decided to spice up the buildings with some electrical wiring and some airfans.

These pilons are for when one walkway just isn't long enough.
I may end up putting some more greeblies on them as they are a bit plain looking atm. then again maybe not...   we'll see.

Next some of the more industrial looking bits.

A large storage tank/tower

which can split into two smaller ones

and as I was taking the pictures it suddenly occured to me that if you put the ring back on it could also function as a landing pad for "Get to da choppa" scenarios.

a small storage tank, probably for some kind of strange bio-agent or something

A water recycling plant

and last but not least a few more generic pieces

Now, if the weather holds, I should be able to prime these during the weekend and if all goes well get some paint on them by the end of next week.

I will also begin texturing one of the place mats/boards with magnetic paint to look like a concrete floor and start looking into ways to weather the other place mat into a less shiny/ slightly rusty version of itself. (any and all tips how to go about doing this are more than welcome)

Cheers,
Stroezie.

Micromunda / Clau Tactics Nano.

Ok folks,
so as promised, here's the first update on the construction of my new Necromunda style industrial board.

First though I'd like to give a shout out to Darryl Hunt of the exelent blog Daxio's Uneventfull Day. I totally stole copied his idea for Necromunda buildings and then used my trusty shrink ray on them😋.

Now, what did I build so far?
Lets take a look.

So , four buildings, four walkways and a platform, not to shabby.

I plan on doing two more buildings, one medium and one large, two more walkways without cover and three extra long walkways plus supports.

Here's a few pictures to give you an idea of the kind of setups I'm going to use them for, I threw in some random figures from my collection to give you a sense of the scale.

Another benefit of this construction method is that the smaller buildings fit inside the larger ones for easy storage.

Apart from the buildings and walkways I've also begun assembling some bits and bobs to build a few more industrial/machinery looking
pieces.
More on those next time.

well ok then just a teaser picture

That's it for now, as usual critiques, comments or questions are more than welcome.

Cheers,
Stroezie.

All Is Quiet On The Ares Front... Or Not ?!?

It has been a bit quiet here due to me being a bit distracted by my 15mm (Gasp..) Conan project but...

.... things are about to change.

Now that it looks like the Age Of Tyrants kickstarter is finally about to ship my mind has been awhirl with crazy ideas for a 6mm, Necromunda style, board complete with stackable buildings/towers and multiple stories off gantries (magnetised of course 😉 )

I have been rooting through my boxes of junk building materials and now have a tub full of soon to be industrial scenery.

The board will be a 37 x 37 cm metal place mat from Ikea which should give me the equivalent of a 148 x 148 cm, 28mm board.( not bad! )

With a bit of luck I should have the first structures built by the end of the week.

Till then I'll leave you with some pics of the last 6mm figs I painted,
more Micro Wastelanders for Mega City 6.

I hope you enjoy them,

Cheers,
Stroezie.
